How Do I Create an NFT for My Music?
- Get a wallet – most common is Metamask which is essentially a chrome extension that connects to websites that work with Ethereum.
- Choose a platform – You can mint NFTs in a few different places including Rarible & Open Sea.
- Connect your wallet to your platform and create an account.
How much does it cost to make a music NFT?
Now here’s the big catch with NFTs (at least for now). Due to limitations with the ethereum blockchain, it costs the ether equivalent of ~$70-100 USD to create an NFT. So if you want to make a profit, your NFTs typically need to sell for over $100
Why is NFT important?
A very good question… since a lot of musicians do not use the current platforms because of several reasons. You are familiar with the costs involved, not all musicians are well informed and do not invest in music at the current time. If you are a musician and want to have the best platform for your music, then get NFT… I will tell you why… NFT has now a ‘Music Marketplace’…
If you go to NFT ‘The Sane Dollar’ you will see that every “Creation” or “Producing” (what I call “Music”) item has a price associated with it… If you like a “Seedling” song, for example, that song has the price “NFT USD 9.99″… If you have a song with more lyrics, the price will increase if you put more elements (e.g. a reverb, some mellotron notes…) that will increase the value.
